Counts per Unit Calculator Fields
Specify the following quantities:
Alpha
The probability of a type I error, which is the probability of rejecting the null hypothesis when it is true. It is commonly referred to as the significance level of the test. The default alpha level is 0.05.
Baseline Count per Unit
The number of targeted defects per unit. The default value is 0.1.
Specify two of the following quantities to calculate the third quantity:
Difference to detect
The smallest detectable difference to test against specified in defects per unit.
Sample Size
The number of units.
Power
The probability of rejecting the null hypothesis when it is false. With all other parameters fixed, power increases as sample size increases.
