Example of Multivariate Embedding

Use the Multivariate Embedding platform to reduce high-dimensional data to two dimensions.

1. Select Help > Sample Data Folder and open Cytometry.jmp.

2. Select Analyze > Multivariate Methods > Multivariate Embedding.

3. Select CD3 through MCB and click Y, Columns.

4. (Optional.) Click the gray disclosure icon next to Advanced Options, and enter 1234 for the Random Seed.

Note: Entering the seed above enable you to reproduce the results shown in this example.

5. Click OK.

6. Click the gray triangle next to Iteration History.

The Multivariate Embedding report window contains a plot of the two dimensions computed using the t-SNE method and information about the iteration history.
