Data Entry

Enter, load, or simulate DOE response data on the Data Entry tab of the Easy DOE platform. You can enter responses directly in the columns for the response(s) that you defined on the Define tab.

Tips:

After entering data, Save the entries to your file (File > Save).

Data tables in the Data Entry tab have limited capabilities. Export the data table for full functionality.

To add additional responses, add them on the Define Tab.

Response(s)

The Response side of the data entry table enables you to add the results from your design.

Export Data

Exports the design and responses to a stand-alone JMP data table.

Load Responses

Load responses from a JMP data table.

Caution: Align the run order in the response table to match the run order in your Easy DOE design.

Design

The Design side of the data entry table displays the design.

Show/Hide simulation panel

(Available only in Guided Mode.) Shows or hides the simulation panel. Use to simulate data for your design. The panel is always open in Flexible Mode.

Simulation Panel

Use the simulation panel to simulate data for your design. This feature is useful for teaching or to investigate the design for expected data. To specify specific model effects, enter values for the coefficients for each model term and click Simulate Response. Use the Zero Coefficients button to reset the coefficients to zero. Use the Random Coefficients button to randomly set a few coefficients to nonzero, and then click Simulate Response.

Note: The Normal Error σ is the anticipated root mean square error.

Factor Plots

The Easy DOE factor plots show each response plotted against each factor. Prior to data entry, the plots show the level of each factor. The Y axis has no values. After data entry, the plots have a line connecting the mean response of each x level.
