The Categorical Crosstab Table red triangle menu contains the following options:
Show Letters
Shows or hides the group level letters in the crosstab table. These letters are used to identify comparison levels in many of the tests of homogeneity and are displayed automatically for those tests. The letters are shown at the inner most level of the grouping variables.
Specify Comparison Groups
Opens the Specify Comparison Groups window to enable you to specify specific comparison groups for tests of homogeneity. Use one of the comparisons buttons or define a your own set of comparisons. A Compare Each Cell report is provided for the defined comparison groups. See Example of User-Specified Comparison with Comparison Letters.
The Specify Comparison Window contains the following options.
Compare Inner
Select to compare all group levels. If there are nested terms, the most inner set of levels are compared. The comparisons are shown in the text box.
Compare with Last
Select to compare each group level to the last level. The comparisons are shown in the text box.
Compare with First
Select to compare each group level to the first level. The comparisons are shown in the text box.
Compare Outer
(Available only for nested grouping factors.) Select to compare levels of the outer grouping factor levels. The comparisons are shown in the text box.
Compare Sliced
(Available only for nested grouping factors.) Select to compare across inner and outer levels of the nested grouping factors. The comparisons are shown in the text box.
Text Box
Shows the default or selected comparison groups. To enter a custom comparison, use level letters separated by a slash to represent each group. Separate multiple groups by commas. For example, to test A with E, B with D, and C with F, specify the comparison groups as “A/E, B/D, C/F”.
Save to Favorites
Select to save the specified comparison to a list of favorites. This list is available for future analyses run from the data table. The list is saved as a table script.
Remove
Removes the report from the report window.
