Bivariate Plots (Malecot LD Map)

The Bivariate Fits tab contains the following elements:
• | One Malecot map for each BY group. |
The maps plot Linkage Disequilibrium Units (LDU) on the y-axis and physical distance on the x-axis. The plots increase monotonically. Flat regions correspond to blocks with high LD, whereas jumps indicate places where LD is low; that is, breaks between blocks.
The maps are created by fitting the Malecot model to sequential regions. Each parameter has a genetic interpretation. Refer to Maniatis et al. (2005) for additional details.
