PCA 2D Row Scores

The PCA 2D Row Scores tab is shown below:

The PCA 2D Column Scores tab contains the following elements:

A multivariate analysis of the components, including a correlation matrix and a 2D scatterplot matrix.

•

A parallel coordinate plot of the components

•

A plot of the Mahalanobis distances of each component

Study these elements to decipher patterns in the principal components. For example, look for clusters of points in the scatterplot matrix and parallel plot. Recall each component is a one-dimensional projection that maximizes variability unaccounted for by previous components. Note also the percent variation explained by each component.

Note: You can optionally use the JMP Rows menu to open a Data Filter or color the points by any variable of interest.
