Design-Level By Variables
Use this field to specify variables in the Experimental Design SAS Data Set whose levels define distinct groups by which to perform separate ANOVAs.
If you leave this blank, all of the data from any one row will be used in the same ANOVA model.
Specifying this option effectively divides the columns into distinct analysis groups. In combination with the By Variables on the General tab, this option will run the analysis on subsets of the data separately, as designated by different values of the design-level BY variables.
Note: Variables that you specify here should not be included in the statistical model.
To Specify One or More Design-Level By Variables:
8 | Specify an Experimental Design SAS Data Set (EDDS). |
All of the variables in the EDDS are displayed in the Available Variables field.
8 | Examine the list of available variables. |
8 | Highlight one or more variables. |
8 | Click to add the highlighted variable(s) to the Design-Level By Variables field. |
For example, select Sex to group and perform separate analyses by gender.
