Variables Defining Control Sets
Use this field to specify a subset of the columns entered in the Variables Defining Analysis Groups field that define which analysis groups that are to be used as controls.
The samples for which the control sets will be used in reference to will be decided by the distinct groups made by the variables in the Variables Defining Analysis Groups field that were not re-specified as variables to define control sets. The values for these columns that indicate a sample as a control should be entered in the Control Levels field.
Note: For more complex designs, such as nested designs or where the value of the control changes across Analysis groups, it might be necessary to construct a new column. This column is to be included in this field and in the Variables Defining Analysis Groups field, in the EDDS, to indicate the analysis groups that should be used as respective controls for the groups’ experimental samples.
To Specify Variables Defining Control Sets:
8 | Specify an Experimental Design SAS Data Set (EDDS). |
All of the variables in the data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.
8 | Examine the list of available variables. |
8 | Highlight one or more variables. To highlight multiple variables at once, hold down while left-clicking on them. |
8 | Click to add the highlighted variable(s) to the Variables Defining Control Sets field, as shown below: |
