WinQTLCart Input Engine

The WinQTLCart Input Engine imports a Windows QTL Cartographer .mcd file (Wang, Basten, and Zeng 2007) and generates two SAS data sets:

•

A data set that contains the marker genotypes and traits, and can be used as the Input Data Set for downstream JMP Genomics QTL mapping processes.

•

A data set that lists marker map and other annotation information, and can be used as the Annotation Data Set for downstream JMP Genomics processes.

What do I need?

One Windows QTL Cartographer .mcd file is required to run the WinQTLCart Input Engine. The wqcart-samp0.mcd is located in the Sample Data\Genetics\QtlMapping directory included with JMP Genomics.

The wqcart-samp0.mcd file was opened in Windows QTL Cartographer. This file, which is essentially formatted as a tab-delimited text file, is shown below.
