Gene Symbol Variable

Specify the variable containing the official gene symbol. It is used to make the web search link to PubMed and Entrez-Cross if specified.

Each row should contain one gene symbol.

Caution: Multiple gene symbols per row results in broken generated web links.

To Specify a Gene Symbol Variable:

Specify an Annotation SAS Data Set.

The Available Variables field is populated with variables from the specified data set.

Left-click a variable from the Available Variables field.

Click to add the selected variable to the Gene Symbol Variable field.
