Use the Easy DOE platform for all steps in designing and analyzing an experiment. The platform provides a tabbed workflow for all of your design steps. The design, data, analysis, and a report are maintained within a single platform, or object. This object can be saved between JMP sessions as a *.jmpdoe file.
The steps in an experiment are represented as a sequence of tabs in the Easy DOE platform:
• Define: specify the responses and factors in the experiment.
• Model: specify effects that are important to estimate with the experiment and the number of runs.
• Design: view the design.
• Data Entry: enter the observations for each run by manual entry, pasting from another table, loading a data table, or simulating data.
• Analyze: fit the model terms implied from the specified model, select the active terms in the model, and evaluate the assumptions of the regression analysis with the selected model.
• Predict: profile the response and optimize the factor settings.
• Report: view a summary report with the ability to export to save or share.
Move sequentially through the steps to define, enter data, and analyze a design. Each step starts with default starting values and choices. The default settings of each step depend on the previous steps. If incompatibilities arise when moving between steps, prompts enable you to select choices to correct your design. Move forward or backward easily.
Easy DOE has two modes: Guided and Flexible. The Guided Mode guides you through the design setup, data entry, and analysis. The Guided Mode provides hints to help you make choices for each step. The Flexible Mode provides access to Custom DOE and Definitive Screening Design for the Define, Model, and Design steps, and to Fit Least Squares, or Generalized Regression (JMP Pro) for the Analysis and Predict steps. Additional models are available in JMP Pro in the Flexible Mode for models with hard to change factors.
