Easy DOE Design Selection Rules

The Easy DOE platform constructs designs using either the Custom or Definitive Screening Designers. The general rules are found in the table below. Additional rules determine when a definitive screening design is used.

The Easy DOE platform constructs a definitive screening design if all of the following are true:

• There are at least 5 factors

• All factors are either continuous or categorical

• All categorical factors have 2 levels

• There are at most 3 categorical factors

• The number of continuous factors is greater than or equal to the number of categorical factors
