Exporting presets creates a single .jmppresets file that you can email or place on a server so that others can use your presets.
To access the JMP Platform Presets preferences, select File > Preferences on Windows or JMP > Preferences on Apple macOS, and then click Platform Presets.
To export presets:
1. Select the Source and presets or preset groups that you want to export.
You can export only from a single source.
2. Click Export.
To import presets:
1. Select the Source to import into.
2. Click Import.
3. Select a .jmppresets file.
You cannot import into the Sample Presets or a Source from an add-in.
If you want to deploy presets across your organization, keep a group of presets separate from personal presets, or just want a group of presets added at the same level as “My Presets,” create a Platform Presets add-in.
To create a presets add-in:
1. Select File > New > New Add In.
2. In the General Info tab, enter the name, ID, and version.
3. Optionally, enter a minimum/maximum JMP version, supported host, and whether to install after saving.
4. Select the Platform Presets tab.
5. Select a .jmppresets file from which to create the add-in, or select from the currently-installed presets those that you want to include in the add-in, and move them to the Included in Add-in list.
6. Arrange the presets in the Included in Add-in list.
You can rename, delete, group, and move presets using drag-and-drop.
7. Enter a Label and description.
The label will be used as the source and first-level Platform Presets menu name at the same level as My Presets. If no label is provided, the Add-In ID is used.
8. Click Save.
If you did not select Install after save, you can install the preset add-in as you would any add-in: open it with JMP.
Presets installed with an add-in:
• cannot be changed in the Customize Window or JMP Preferences. Instead, you must edit them in the add-in and then re-install it.
• must be removed using the Add-In Status window by selecting View > Add-ins.
To open a preset add-in for editing:
1. Select File > Open.
2. Select the preset add-in.
3. Click the Open button drop-down and select Open Using Add-In Builder.
