Type 1 Gauge Analysis

Evaluate a Continuous Measurement Process Using the Type 1 Method

A Type 1 Gauge analysis is a measurement systems analysis that determines whether a measurement system, or gauge, is repeatable. Specifically, the analysis determines whether a measurement system can repeatedly measure a part and obtain measurements that are close to a known reference standard.

The Type 1 Gauge platform produces a run chart, histogram, and metrics such as Cg and CgK that are useful in assessing gauge repeatability.
