Framework Map Data Set
Specify the path to a data set containing a framework map. This data set can be used to create linkage groups for markers in the genotype data that incorporate prior knowledge of markers that already belong to pre-defined groups.
This map should contain:
• | a variable with marker names that match at least one of the columns in the Input Genotype SAS Data Set (the Framework Marker Name Variable), |
• | a variable containing known linkage group membership for certain markers (the Framework Linkage Group Variable), and |
• | if available, a variable with known orders of the framework markers within the groups (the Framework Order Variable). |
This data set is more flexible than an Annotation Data Set. The number and order of the markers does not need to match the order of the marker columns in the Input Genotype SAS Data Set. This type of data set might have been created by the Linkage Map Order process. For example. perhaps you have built a linkage map on the highest quality markers in your genotype data set; you can then use that map as a framework to add more markers into the map that you have built.

To Specify a Framework Map Data Set:
The method used for this specification can vary depending on whether JMP is connected to SAS on your local machine or connected to SAS on a server. You should refer to the Specifying Folders, Files, and Data Sets documentation for detailed information.
