Capability Analysis
Evaluate the Ability of a Process to Meet Specifications
Capability analysis, used in process control, measures the conformance of a process to given specification limits. Using these limits, you can compare a current process to specific tolerances and maintain consistency in production. Graphical tools such as a goal plot and box plot give you quick visual ways of observing behaviors that are within specifications. Individual detail reports display a capability report for each variable in the analysis. The analysis helps reduce the variation relative to the specifications or requirements, achieving increasingly higher conformance values.
